Ingleton will benefit from two new Saturday bus services this summer.
From Saturday 5th April Stagecoach bus service 567 between Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale will be extended to Ingleton on Saturdays, with a revised timetable. Buses will leave Kendal for Ingleton at 0820, 1020, 1220, 1420 and 1620; with buses running from Ingleton at 0920, 1120, 1320, 1520 and 1720.
Then from Saturday 2nd May new Yorkshire Dales Explorer Bus service 80 will link Lancaster, Bentham, Settle, Ribblehead and Hawes on Saturdays throughout the summer. This new service is part of the DalesBus network, managed by Dales and Bowland Community Interest Company with financial support from the new York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority. Further details about this new service will be available shortly.
In the meantime popular DalesBus service 59 between Skipton and Harrogate resumes its normal route and timetable from this Saturday, following the reopening of Ripon Road in Harrogate. Buses run every Saturday to Bolton Bridge, Blubberhouses and Harrogate from Skipton Bus Station at 1045, 1250, 1545 and 1745, returning from Harrogate at 0935, 1150, 1445 and 1645.
It has also just been announced that following a successful trial last summer DalesBus service 864 will again run mainly hourly throughout the day between Skipton, Gargrave and Malham on Summer Sundays and Bank Holidays, starting on Easter Sunday 20th April.
The national bus fare cap continues all year, so single fares on all local buses cost no more than £3 for any journey. The £1 ticket offer for under 19s has also been extended, and will now continue until at least the end of the year.
