Upper Wharfdale Fell Rescue were called out to assist a walker during the Wharfedale Three Peaks Challenge
The Team was nearing the end of theirmain fundraising event of the year UWFRA - The Wharfedale Three Peaks Challenge when they received a call from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to help them with a lady who had injured her ankle near Yarnbury.
Whilst the leaders were gathering more information they sent two vehicles to the scene.
On our arrival the lady was given pain relief and her leg splinted before she was driven back to our base in Grassington to keep her warm whilst waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
Once the YAS ambulance arrived the casualty was handed to their care and the team headed back to Kettlewell to pack everything up from the Three Peaks fundraiser.
We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
