Our Ingleborough is a community arts project which engages a cross section of the local community through a series of workshops, intergenerational conversations, grants for young artists, films, oral histories and podcasts to be presented online and a travelling exhibition in June 2022.
The land around Ingleborough has a rich and complex history and the aim of Our Ingleborough is to explore the past, present future of the land use in the local area with agriculture, nature recovery and tourism all being important discussion points. So far we have collaborated with Ingleton Primary School on a workshop around birdsong in the Yorkshire Dales, Settle Primary School to facilitate interviews between children and their grandparents, given grants to young artists and documented some of the individuals surrounding Ingleborough.
There is still a way to get involved as we have three grants of £75 available for artists who want to make or have already made artwork around the past, present and future of the landscape around Ingleborough.
These works among others will be shown at Our Ingleborough Festival between the 16th - 20th June 2022.
