Skin Deep is an interesting talk all about what our ancestors did for fashion and beauty in the 18th century from The Arts Society Appleby-In-Westmorland.
Think poisonous potions, excessive fashions. With everything from body shapes to lotions this fascinating talk is hosted by Amanda Herris who has a background in archeology and spent many years as a curator at the Museum Of London.
Its on 8th January at 11am at Appleby Market Hall.
Entry is £9 and includes coffee & biscuits.
