Hill Farming In The North of England with John Bentley

John Bentley is introducing his book 'Hill Farming in the North of England' on Sunday April 20th at keld Resource Centre 2pm till 4pm.

The book which was published in November 2023 and as the title suggests, is a photographic study of hill farming country, looking at farming through the seasons, and  includes shows, sales such as Tan Hill Show and Hawes Mart. It also features the landscape and the work of many individual farmers, the majority being located in the Dales and just beyond in Cumbria. Many of the faces seen in the book will be familiar to local people. The book has been selling well and has been reviewed in publications as wide as The Yorkshire Post and Farmers Guardian
