Concert&Cakes is an hour of beautiful music by musicians from the Royal Northern College of Music followed by an invitation to meet the performers afterwards.
The Juna String Quartet will be performing for Concert&Cakes in November. All friends and students at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, they chose the name ‘Juna’ for its multitude of meanings (eg. courage, gentleness, and woodland) in various languages, and to appreciate the word as a woman’s name. Audiences often comment on the bubbly dynamic of the ensemble, and the friendship which they keep at the heart of their music making. They will perform a hour of music for us after which the audience is invited to meet the musicians. whilst enjoying delicious home-made cakes, tea and coffee. We do not charge for tickets so seating is on a first-come first-served basis. If you enjoy the music, we will ask for a donation after the performance and for a contribution towards our costs for refreshments.
